Ithmid is known across cultures by many names, including Surma, Kajal, Sormeh, and Tozali, and has been used for centuries as both an eye cosmetic and a means of eye care.
The Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said: "The best of your kohl is ithmid (antimony), for it makes the vision clear and makes the hair grow." (Reported by at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah)
Traditionally, ithmid kohl is said to strengthen the ocular nerves, soothe the eyes, and encourage the growth and length of the eyelashes, all while reviving a Sunnah practiced by the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, himself.

Al-Kohl Al-Noor is authentic, traditionally hand-ground Ithmid stone, the same mineral kohl described in the Sunnah, sourced and made in the UAE. How to Use
Dip the included mirwad applicator into the kohl and gently line the inner or outer eyelid. Use before sleeping for the traditional Sunnah application, or as desired. Wipe the applicator clean after each use and store the container tightly closed.
